EB carousels are designed to ensure maximum productivity and minimum downtime. Through the use of innovative features EB has ensured its carousels can operate in wide weather windows where vessels experience significant accelerations.

 

EB has designed a number of basket and reel carousel systems of different sizes and complexities to suit client’s individual needs.

 

These have ranged from the upgrade of a 400tonne basket carousel to 1,000 tonne capacity, the design and manufacture of a 3,000 tonne capacity umbilical carousel with spooling equipment to the supply of a 7,000 tonne carousel spread for use in the offshore renewables market.

 

Each of these products has been tailored to the client’s unique requirements and each of the designs have incorporated a number of innovative features ranging from compliant roller mountings, changeable core diameters, hydraulically adjustable roof positions and modular design to ensure mobilisation time is minimised.

 

Combined with EB’s electric drive system and integrated control software these machines are capable of performing continuous operations in arduous conditions.
